Bendang Jamir

Bendang Jamir is an aspiring musician from Wokha presently residing at Dimapur. He started learning music at an early age. Like most musicians in Nagaland, he also started his musical journey in the church. He was overwhelmed by the people playing the guitar and leading the praise and worship sessions. It has influenced him and that was the time when he fell in love with the guitar and chose it to be his instrument of choice.

Bendang grew up listening to Paul Gilbert, Neil Zaza, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci and Nuno Bettencourt. He love playing neo-classical, indie-rock, alternative rock and classical music. He focuses on making his music simple so that the world would understand its true meaning. He is currently pursuing his music degree at Nagaland Conservatory of Music. Besides that he also works as a music teacher in various music academies (School of Music and Art, Musicians Academy etc.).

“My Journey” is a guitar instrumental song recorded from Aseu Chadi Home Studio. Kohima Nagaland. The song talk about his journey with music. Music has been a part of his life since his childhood. He firmly believes that music is something which God has given to all humankind as a unique gift. This song is basically a prayer to God, who has given him the opportunity to venture with the gift of music.
