Green Apple is a five piece band originally formed in the year 2014 but it was only after a year later that they were well organized as band. Then band comprises of Lhoulaneilie Khezhie on the bass and lead vocals, Steve Magar on the guitars and backup vocals, Imtikaba JamirĀ on the drums, Seyiekhrietuo Sanchi on the keyboards and Jason Mahat on the lead guitars.


Fresh, soothing and youthful, all the members of the band are about the same age group. The meaning behind the name “Green Apple” comes from the colour green which signifies youthfulness and energy and apple which signifies knowledge. Though the nomenclature of the band translates into different meanings ‘Green Apple’ is a name to “start a new experience”.

Green Apple is influenced by various artistes such as Jason Aldean, Tom Odell, Giant Sand, Ra Ra Roit and also local artistes like Jonathan Yhome, Polar Lights and Purple Fusion.

The band’s debut single “Worth Special” is an adult contemporary rock track that talks about beauty of nature, heartfulness to help and then connecting it with life.

Their second single, “A White Curtain” is a song that has a message about the lifestyle of the present state in their native land.
